The ÍþÄá˹È˹ÙÍø offers a wide range of opportunities to explore its research and teaching, be it through an architectural tour of the main building, a dino safari in the Natural History Museum or a nature trail in the park next to Irchel Campus.

Archaeological Collection: Guided tours for groups, clubs, school classes

Bespoke tours for company events, club outings or school excursions are available on request. Tours are offered in German, English, French and Italian.

The ÍþÄá˹È˹ÙÍø Science Pavilion offers tours of the entire exhibition or of specific sections, which can also be combined with workshops at the Science Lab ÍþÄá˹È˹ÙÍø.

Explore the main building at your leisure using our multimedia guide or with the help of our sightseeing brochure.

Multimedia Guide: ArchitekTour” or Hörspieltour(both in German)

Choose between two tour options:

  • The “ArchitekTour” provides information about the special features of the main building through audio commentaries, texts, pictures and videos.
  • The “Hörspieltour” is an audio-only tour featuring dialogue, anecdotes and music. It takes just under 50 minutes and is also suitable for families.
  • Both tours include 22 stations and a map showing you where the stations are located and instructions on how to get from one station to the next. The stations are marked with information panels. You can change the tour path at any time and determine the sequence of stations yourself.

University Library Law: Tours for individuals and groups

Tours are available for individuals and small groups (up to 5 people) during opening hours without prior reservation. For group visits of 6 to 16 people, please register in advance by e-mail.

Zentralbibliothek Zürich (ZB): Group tours by appointment

The Zentralbibliothek offers “classic” tours, themed tours and group tours on request.

University Animal Hospital: Guided tours for groups of up to 15 people

The Animal Hospital offers tours for groups of up to 15 people (aged 11 and over) by prior arrangement:

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Price per group: CHF 60 
  • Tours are conducted Monday through Friday
  • Tours are also available in English
